Work Suitability Assessment, (WSA)
The Work Suitability Assessment (WSA) is the Telecommuting Advantage Group’s interactive on-line assessment, taken by prospective flexworkers, that will help employees and their supervisors/managers determine which job-tasks can be performed as well, or even more effectively, during non-standard work hours and/or remotely, for each type of flexwork. Results will provide detailed insight designed to help structure work agreements with supervisors/managers. Ideally employees will have identified those work tasks that can be completed more effectively and efficiently in a less-disruptive environment. When considering working away from the office or during non-standard work hours, employees must consider the types of job-tasks that can and cannot be performed during those times and/or in a remote setting. Employees will be separated from colleagues either physically or due to work hour adjustments.
Other aspects to be considered are the common “themes” of employees’ overall jobs. Employees will be led through a process to consider questions such as; Is collaboration with co-workers and customers done face-to-face or is much of it done via email and telephone? Are job-tasks time sensitive requiring availability during standard office hours? Other overall job themes are included in the WSA.
The WSA is not a test that individuals can pass or fail. Instead, the assessment helps employees diagnose work tasks and suitability for each type of flexwork, not any aspects of professional competencies, job skills or personality.

Employee Suitability Assessment, (ESA). Same general comment as above.
The Employee Suitability Assessment, (ESA), is a form-based, situational judgment assessment that provides
employees feedback about their readiness to work in a remote environment. The employee receives competency
scores and specific feedback on their responses, as well as action suggestions for employees to leverage
where they are strong and strengthen where they need development. Employees can use this information to
collaborate with supervisors/managers about the design of their flexwork program and proactively address
areas in which they may personally struggle.
Employee Suitability is based on six personal competencies, (e.g. results orientation, communication skills,
etc.), found to be critical when moving from a structured office environment to a remote work environment.
The ESA is often an optional assessment and recommended mainly for those employees teleworking at least two
days per week.

After completion of the ESA employees will receive a report within the next workday that includes the
